Last week we helped the National Center for Women and Information Technology (NCWIT) launch the new Aspirations in Computing website. Ruthe Farmer, NCWIT's Director of Strategic Initiatives and a White House Champion of Change for Tech Inclusion, spearheads the Aspirations initiative. The program is designed to increase female participation in technology by providing encouragement, visibility, community, and leadership opportunities to aspiring technically inclined young women.
Aten Design Group contributed to this effort by designing a community-focused website for the Aspirations in Computing program. The new website not only highlights the NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing and its past recipients, but also connects young tech gurus with like-minded women ranging from middle school girls to CEOs at the nation's leading technology organizations. They also have access to a ton of opportunities, such as jobs, internships, events, and scholarships.
Our work included information architecture, design, and development for the website. Learn more about the project at aspirations.org.
