Last month, Aten’s own Michaela Blackham presented on accessibility and what it means for each person in your company. From designers to developers to project managers and beyond, Michaela went through ways for everyone to champion making our products more accessible. She also explained that accessibility is more than just testing on screen readers for users with visual disabilities. Any person could become even temporarily disabled at any moment. A broken finger or sprained wrist will affect people’s ability to interact with the things we build. You can check out Michaela’s slidedeck or read her series about accessibility on the Aten blog.
October’s Meetup
This month, Tim Anderson will be talking about building scalable themes for Drupal 8. He’ll take us through the ins and outs of front-end workflows, visual regression testing, using the Paragraphs module for page segmentation, plus other challenges themers run into. The event starts at 6:30pm on October 24th. You can read more details and signup on the Meetup page or on the Drupal Groups page. See you there!
