John has been working in the print and interactive design industry since 2000. John joined Aten in 2012 as a Front-end Developer. He led the front-end efforts on high profile sites such as Human Rights Watch, Guttmacher Institute, City of Raleigh, and Richland Library. John led the Front-end Engineering team at Aten for several years and has spoken at many industry conferences throughout the U.S and internationally, including CSS Dev Conference and DrupalCons Portland, Austin, Amsterdam, L.A. and New Orleans, on topics ranging from SVG to CSS architecture to JavaScript and layout design patterns. He is passionate about both design and code and finds the front end, the sweet spot in-between.
