Project Review Wednesday: Cache Flush

There are currently 85 new Drupal contributors awaiting review of their first project. This is a great place to contribute to the community and learn about interesting upcoming projects, for example...

Module: Cache Flush

What does it do?

Studies show that 91% of Drupal problems are solved by clearing the cache. (Note: the same studies found that 83% of statistics are made up.) Clearing the cache has a kind of magical power to inexplicably make problems go away, like blowing into an old Nintendo cartridge. However, this magic comes with a drawback: cleared caches need to be rebuilt, and on large sites rebuilding the cache can take forever (or, translated to non-internet time measurements, multiple seconds).

The Cache Flush module allows you to set up custom cache presets, so you can clear only the part of the cache you actually need to clear, without waiting on everything else to rebuild.

Look Useful? Review it!

If this sounds like something you'd like to see readily available on Drupal.org, you should review it and help make that happen.

Review It

Pro Tip: If you've never reviewed a project application before, you can find instructions for reviewers on Drupal.org and the Code Review group is happy to help more people get involved.

Update

This project was reviewed shortly before publication. So it should be available soon as a full project. Hurray!
