The annual New York City Drupal Camp (NYC Camp, pronounce "Nice" Camp) will be held at the United Nations Headquarters in Manhattan, April 10th-13th. We are excited to announce that Aten is the supporting partner for Friday's Nonprofit / NGO Summit, headlined by Holly Ross, the Executive Director of the Drupal Association.
Clayton Dewey will be speaking at the NPO / NGO Summit about OpenAid, the Drupal distribution for quickly building program-focused websites. As the OpenAid product owner, Clayton will be sharing Aten's plans for new features, a new theme and other architectural changes. During the Camp, Clayton and I will be talking about how OpenAid can help organizations quickly spin up a capable, program-focused website, and how it can be used by larger organizations to deploy several partner websites on a consistent code base.
NYC Camp packs a lot of other wonderful content into a few days. On Saturday the Camp's keynote will be given by Atefah "Atti" Riazi, the United Nations' Chief Information Technology Officer (CITO). She is also participating in a Female Technology Leadership Panel with Holly Ross and Drupal luminary Angie Byron (webchick).
Along with the NPO / NGO Summit, Friday offers summits for Apps & Startups, Commerce, DevOps, Security & Privacy, Higher Education, Drupal Core, and Digital Publishing & Media. Sunday is chock full of code sprints. Also, have you heard about DrupalNG? They're having a Young Drupalists Hanging Out & Hacking event all day.
Did I mention that this event is totally free for anyone to attend? The only catch is that you have to register, because security at the UN Headquarters is serious and you have to be on the list. If you're in the NYC area, sign-up and come join us!
