John has been working in the print and interactive design industry since 2000. John joined Aten in 2012 as a front-end developer. He has since led the front-end efforts on high profile sites such as Human Rights Watch, The World Resource Institute, Colorado Public Radio and UC Berkeley. In addition to leading the front-end engineering team at Aten, John has spoken at many industry conferences throughout the U.S and internationally, including CSS Dev Conference and DrupalCons Portland, Austin, Amsterdam, L.A. and New Orleans, on topics ranging from SVG to CSS architecture to JavaScript and layout design patterns. He is passionate about both design and code and finds the front-end, the sweet spot in-between.
