Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) are the international standards for accessibility on the internet and WCAG 2.2 became the officially recommended version on October 5, 2023. The latest update includes 9 new success criteria, one success criterion moving up a level, and for the first time, a success criterion is being removed. The focus of these updates is on users with low vision, cognitive impairments, and limited fine motor skills.
