During the strategy and research phase of any web design project, there’s a lot of excitement around talking to website audiences. It’s the chance to witness first hand how website visitors perceive and understand your website. Typically due to budget constraints, it is tempting to reach out to those who are easiest to access. While this can suffice in some cases, it’s worth considering how those who are easiest to reach can affect the kind of feedback we receive. Designing a website for everyone means including a diverse range of voices during the research and strategy process.
In this webinar, Aten's UX Strategist, Emily Williams will discuss representation with an emphasis on inclusivity. She will walk through:
- Strategies we have used to ensure our sample is representative and inclusive while staying on time and on budget
- Examples of recruitment screening measures that help identify and encourage participation among underrepresented groups
- Learnings and outcomes of inclusive sampling we’ve seen in website redesign projects
